Job Summary:
The Safety Coordinator will plan, organize and manage all health and safety activities in a Manufacturing environment. Will advise on safety related issues and develop/coordinate safety policies and procedures. Gain understanding and adhere to all safety related regulations and requirements.
Experience, required skills/abilities:
- At least 2 years Safety Coordinator experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Promote a Safety Culture of Excellence through leading by example, coaching, and mentoring
- Train all associates on health and safety procedures and regulations
- Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
- Submit all the relevant health and safety documents
- Investigate all accidents and injuries and report all required information
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Passionate about maintaining a safe work environment
