Position Purpose:

Manage assigned direct employees by example to achieve established safety and housekeeping goals, quality standards, customer service goals, and productivity levels. Primary focus will be on safely delivering the highest quality product, on-time, and at the lowest cost.

Essential Functions:

* Supervise the maintenance of a safe, clean and secure work environment for all associates
* Ensure fair and consistent application of and adherence to all established company quality standards, policies and procedures.
* Plan, organize, and develop company resources to meet all established goals and objectives for safely meeting on-time shipment of product to customers.
* Develop teams and educate members to accept increasing levels of responsibility and authority; with the ultimate objective of being self-directed.
* Enforce all preventative maintenance schedules as applicable.
* Manage the training system in accordance with the defined policy.
Qualifications - External

Education and Training:


* HS Diploma/ GED required
* Bachelor's Degree is preferred, an associate degree or equivalent experience in an applicable area is accepted
Minimum Qualifications:


* Minimum of two years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Should have worked without direct supervision with a high degree of personal accountability.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
* Proven track record of continuing training through schools and seminars.
* Training or demonstrated experience in positive management techniques and team building concepts preferred.
* Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Intranet, etc.)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of material flow and inventory control.
Strong mechanical ability required.

Physical Demands:


* Lift less than 50 lbs.
* Must be able to actively walk the plant floor 60% - 70% of the time.
Environmental Conditions:


* Office environment
* Manufacturing environment

* Self-starter, conscientious, enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
