Position Summary

The Senior ServiceNow Engineer is a key influencer in the strategic vision and roadmap implementation for the technology area(s) and Business Functions they support. This position works directly with project leaders, technical or business analysts on the planning, execution, and support of information technology solutions. The ServiceNow Engineer leverages knowledge in several technical or business disciplines to collaborate with peers in deploying highly secure and resilient information technology solutions. This position works with the Enterprise Manager/ Director and Division/Country IT Manager to help set departmental goals and technology targets.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction:

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Advisor on technology or business systems portfolio that will drive expected results for the business, achieving consistent cost effective, stable & sustainable solutions
Proactively anticipates changes, makes recommendations to leadership, leads and implements change within team
Demonstrates a high degree of emotional intelligence and organizational awareness
Completes root cause analysis of issues and decisively leads problem resolution
Consistent and high degree of focus to a business or technology solution's ROI and realistic achievable business value
Build trust with business partners and stakeholders through strength of translating complex technical solutions to non-technical language
Proficient in IT life-cycle management methodologies, including design, development, testing, project management and change management
Able to interpret business requirements effectively that can translate to information technology solutions
Responsible for regional or global support of technical solutions or business applications spanning multiple technologies or business functions
Responsible for architectural runway emergence in design and system development reducing technical debt
Works with identified business units to develop innovative IT solutions to fit business needs
Producing Cost Benefit Analysis and recommending solution to improve business process(es)
Responsible & Accountable for team members implementing Parker Values & building a trust-based relationship throughout the team
Ability to adapt written/verbal/presentation material and style, depending on audience and environment
Effectively communicates technical issues to project team members and management
Ability to travel as needed
Available to provide after-hours technical support as needed
Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that strategic initiatives align with ServiceNow architecture principles and are focused on delivering business outcomes
Provide strategic direction and architectural leadership for ServiceNow implementations.
Act as a technical lead in ServiceNow engagements, providing thought leadership and best practices.
Create high-level designs and specifications for ServiceNow applications, ensuring they are reusable, reliable, and adaptive while working in an Agile methodology.
Work in partnership with various stakeholders to ensure that strategic initiatives are in alignment with ServiceNow architectural principles and are geared towards achieving business results.
Offer strategic guidance and architectural expertise for ServiceNow implementations.
Develop high-level designs and specifications for ServiceNow applications, ensuring they are reusable, dependable, and adaptable while adhering to Agile methodologies.
Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, solution architects, and developers to guarantee a smooth transition from design to implementation.
Develop and implement best practices for ServiceNow configuration, development, and deployment.
Design and implement solutions for IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and other ServiceNow modules.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
Lead the evaluation and selection of ServiceNow plugins and third-party integrations to enhance the platform's capabilities.
Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features, trends, and best practices, and apply them to improve our solutions.
Participate in the continuous improvement of processes and methodologies related to ServiceNow development and implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Computer Science).
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required. Additional certifications that support IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) are a plus.
Proven experience as a ServiceNow Senior Engineer, with a strong track record of designing and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions.
Experience in security best practices and compliancy requirements for area of expertise
In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities, including modules like Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, IRM, HRSD, SecOps, CMDB, and more.
Strong understanding of ITIL best practices and their implementation within ServiceNow.
Proficiency in JavaScript, XML, HTML, and CSS for ServiceNow development.
Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, and other relevant technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to maintain professional and strong relationships with business partners, contractors, and stakeholders
Demonstrate Agile methodologies and can apply those processes to everyday work
