Position: Production Manager
Location: Madison, Ohio
Hours: Full-Time (M-F, 8-5)
Pay: $75,000–$95,000+ DOE, plus annual bonus

POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations within a job shop environment specializing in aluminum greenhouse fabrication. The role manages all aspects of production, including fabrication, CNC machining, welding, assembly, and shipping. This position is responsible for driving efficiency, quality, safety, lean practices, and team performance in a high-mix, small-batch manufacturing setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, schedule, and supervise all shop floor operations, including fabrication, CNC machining, forming, MIG welding, assembly, and shipping/receiving.
• Allocate labor, equipment, and materials to meet production targets and customer deadlines.
• Enforce quality standards, lead root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead 5S activities to maintain organized, safe, and efficient work areas.
• Hire, train, develop, and manage performance of fabrication, welding, machining, and shipping teams.
• Coordinate with purchasing to maintain appropriate raw material and consumable inventory levels.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and conduct safety audits; oversee preventive maintenance for equipment.
• Track and report KPIs such as on-time delivery, scrap rate, labor efficiency, and OEE.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering on scheduling, rush orders, manufacturability considerations, and shipment issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen and waste-reduction projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field OR 7+ years of progressive leadership in metal fabrication.
• Minimum 5 years managing teams in a job shop environment.
• Experience leading high-mix, small-batch production with frequent job changes.
• Proven ability to maintain on-time delivery above 95%.
• Hands-on experience with aluminum fabrication, MIG welding, machining, and assembly processes.
• Demonstrated success implementing 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred:
• AWS Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS) or equivalent
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
