Job Description: DeRamus Law Firm in Canton, OH, is hiring an Administrative Assistant (Part Time / Full Time).
Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our office operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong office management skills, excellent communication abilities and proficiency with various computer applications. This role involves handling administrative tasks, managing schedules and providing client services to ensure smooth daily operations within a professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage front desk duties including greeting visitors and answering multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
- Handle client support inquiries via phone, email, or in-person interactions with excellent phone etiquette
- Assist with office management tasks such as supply ordering, mail handling and maintaining organized workspaces
- Perform data entry, filing, document scanning and copying to maintain accurate records
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure compliance with company policies
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other office software for correspondence, reports and scheduling
- Coordinate calendar management and appointment scheduling for attorneys
- Handle client support inquiries via phone, email, or in-person interactions with excellent phone etiquette
- Assist with office management tasks such as supply ordering, mail handling and maintaining organized workspaces
- Conduct court filings as needed
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills:
- Proven experience with office management, clerical duties and administrative support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), data entry and proofreading tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and client service roles such as legal offices
- Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Previous experience in office or administrative roles demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Details: Part time / full time. First Shift (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). 20-40 hours/week. Monday through Friday. $20.00/hour.
Qualifications: High school diploma / GED. Must have at least 2 years of experience. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Driver’s License Requirement(s): Must have valid driver’s license.
