Custom Staffing is partnering with a local Manufacturing Company to add associates to their team in Marion, OH. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with a company that offers compensation and benefits programs that are among the industry’s best. They operate on eight (8) hour shifts with a five (5) day work week. Weekends may be required as needed.

Position:  Certified Welder
Shift: 1st 
Hours: Monday – Friday, 6am-2:30pm (overtime - as needed)
Rate of Pay: $18+ /hour based on experience

Duties:

• Perform welding duties using a wire welder
• Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions
• Work includes set-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products
• Work with fitters or fitters/welders to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts
• Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to job needs
• Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications
• Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders
• Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position
• Inspect equipment to maintain functional and notify Supervisor, Lead, or Maintenance of any repairs needed
• Perform a variety of complicated tasks as required.
   

Requirements:

• AWS D1.1 Certified – Required 
• 1 year experience
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75lbs
• Specific vision abilities required
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours per day
