Position: Welder
Location: Willoughby, Ohio
Hours: Full-Time (M-Sat, 6-5:30)

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing high-quality MIG and TIG welding, part preparation, inspection, and general fabrication tasks to support production operations. The role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established standards and procedures.
• Prepare daily work assignments by organizing tools, fixtures, supplies, and materials.
• Read and interpret routers and technical drawings to execute work requirements accurately.
• Perform pre-heating, MIG and TIG welding (single, dual, and multi-pass fillet welds), post-tempering, and flame hardening using mild carbon and alloy steels per specifications.
• Set up, program, and operate oxy-propane burn table to form parts from 0.25"–2" thick carbon steel plate; deburr and clean parts for downstream processes
• Complete first-piece inspections and obtain required approvals; conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, squares, and weld gauges.
• Obtain or maintain AWS D1.1 structural welding certification.
• Perform general production-maintenance tasks including maintaining equipment, cleaning work areas, and supporting facility upkeep.
• Enter daily production results into data collection systems and document work on job routers.
• Perform welding and maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned.
• Promote a positive work environment and model cooperative, team-oriented behavior.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 years of welding experience preferred
• Has a valid drivers license
• Ability to stand continuously for up to four hours.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to walk throughout a multi-acre production facility.
