Field Service Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly technical Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for the successful deployment, commissioning, and support of complex industrial equipment at customer sites globally. The ideal candidate is an expert in industrial automation, controls, and troubleshooting, capable of working independently to ensure customer satisfaction and machine performance.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Commissioning: Lead the startup and commissioning of complex automated industrial equipment at customer facilities worldwide.
Technical Verification: Execute thorough system validation, including I/O checks, debug, and functional testing to ensure machine specifications are met.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve intricate mechanical and electrical problems in the field efficiently and accurately.
Customer & Supplier Relations: Serve as a key technical liaison, interacting directly with customers and suppliers to ensure successful equipment startup and final client approval.
Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the senior mechanical setup technician to verify and approve final machine functionality.
Problem Solving: Proactively lead and participate in problem-solving activities and root cause analysis during the installation and post-installation phases.
Documentation: Coordinate, document, and file all historical data and service reports associated with each specific job.
Required Qualifications
- PLC Programming: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC platforms.
HMI Development: Minimum of 5 years of experience with HMI programming and interface design.
Industry Experience: Proven experience working with automated industrial equipment.
Travel: Ability and willingness to travel extensively, up to 75%, including required international travel.
