IT Shopfloor Support Technician / IT Operations Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient IT Shopfloor Support Technician to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems within our manufacturing environment. Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, this role is critical in minimizing production downtime by providing prompt, effective, and compliant technical support for all shopfloor hardware, software, and networking infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site and Remote Support: Provide primary on-site IT support for shopfloor systems, including assembly and molding equipment, and offer remote support to other teams or facilities using secure tools.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Troubleshoot and swiftly resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize impact on production.
Database Support: Perform ** basic SQL queries and updates** for production-related databases used in manufacturing operations.
Hardware Management: Install, configure, and maintain PCs, printers, and other industrial shopfloor devices.
Network Infrastructure: Execute basic network tasks, including running, terminating, and testing Ethernet cables to ensure reliable network connectivity.
Documentation: Accurately document all incidents, resolutions, and system changes within the IT ticketing system.
Compliance, Safety, and Security
Safety: Strictly follow all plant safety protocols; ensure proper cable management to prevent hazards; and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in production areas.
IT Security: Adhere to company cybersecurity policies (e.g., password management, access control) and apply security patches and updates promptly to reduce vulnerabilities.
Policy Compliance: Support company compliance with IT policies and industry standards (e.g., ISO 14001 and 45001 guidelines where applicable).
Qualifications

| CompTIA A+ Certification. | Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience. |
