2nd Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure the maximum reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment and facility in the Toledo, OH area. This role is crucial for executing proactive and reactive maintenance, utilizing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance (PM): Develop, implement, and manage a Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) schedule for all manufacturing equipment.

  • Reactive Maintenance: Promptly repair and troubleshoot any manufacturing equipment failures to minimize downtime.

  • Systems Management: Utilize extensive knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and six-axis robotics to maintain, diagnose, and optimize automated machinery.

  • Operational Procedures: Execute daily startup and shutdown procedures and attend shift crossover team meetings.

  • Facility & Projects: Perform necessary in-house and facility repairs as needed, monitoring the installation of new equipment by external contractors.

  • Inventory & Documentation: Maintain a precise spare parts inventory and complete all required documentation (work orders, PM logs, shift notes) as instructed by leadership.

  • Safety & Standards: Actively identify and correct safety issues within the facility and drive the maintenance and improvement of 5S standards.

  • Collaboration: Work effectively with outside vendors and internal resources to complete necessary projects.


Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Extensive knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

    • Experience with six-axis robotics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An Associate Degree in a technical field (e.g., Electrical Maintenance, Industrial Automation, or Robotics).

  • Five years of experience specifically in a manufacturing maintenance environment may be considered in lieu of a degree.
