Heaven Sent Homes is a youth residential program that provides safety, structure, and hope for youth who need support, stability, and someone who believes in them. The Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) will work in residential programs to assure the care, supervision and control of youth in the program by working in variable time shifts in order to provide 24-hour coverage. The Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) assures that youth are adequately fed, clothed, disciplined, emotionally nurtured and physically protected from harm. The Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) assures that the environment is safe and clean at all times. The Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) assists in implementing the individual service plans for each youth.

What You'll Do:

As a Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) you will (non-exhaustive):

• Supervise and support youth in a safe, structured home environment.
• Build healthy relationships and model positive behaviors.
• Help youth with daily routines (meals, chores, hygiene, bedtime, etc.)
• Participate in recreational activities and outings.
• Provide crisis support using trauma-informed approaches.
• Transport youth to school or appointments.
• Maintain documentation related to youth activities and incidents.
• You'll work as part of a dedicated team ensuring each youth feels safe, seen, and supported.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months experience working with youth or caregiving, or behavioral health preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must pass a background check.

If you have experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), Personal Care Aid (PCA), Childcare Worker, Behavioral Tech / Behavioral Health Tech (BHT), youth counselor / youth specialist, corrections/juvenile justice (JJ) experience or any social services work, you are encouraged to apply.

Shifts available:

• Day Shift: (6am-2pm)
• Afternoon Shift: (2pm-10pm)
• Afternoon Shift: (10pm-6am)

Onboarding:

This position includes a 90-day initial onboarding and success period where you’ll receive enhanced support, guided training, regular check-ins, and clear expectations to set you up for long-term success.
