Electrical Engineer for K&K Technical Group, Inc to report to our Cincinnati, OH HQ loc but working at multiple unanticipated locs in USA. Facilitate electrical building system startups + commissioning activities. Provide SME assistance in review of product + equipment submittals, shop drawings, engineering design drawings + specs, + contractor generated RFIs. Work w/ building construction contractors + equipment vendors to coordinate equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, commissioning + handover to end users. Coordinate weekend + plant shutdown work w/ contractors, plant facilities groups + manufacturing shops. Conduct work progress inspections on a continuous basis. Support construction administration activities related to schedule coordination, quality confirmations, weekly coordination meetings + planned utility outages. Conduct inspections + observations of electrical building systems for compliance w/ project specifications, quality standards + applicable codes. Oversee work of electrical contractors for adherence to project delivery methods, schedule milestone targets + coordination w/ other groups. Prep field engineering status reports of work progress + schedule to Project Managers. Provide input + feedback to improve project technical specifications + standards. Communicate technical matters in written + verbal formats. Multi-task, manage time + prioritize project commitments based on established deadlines + project milestones. Little national travel to client location may be involved, not to exceed 60 days per year. Occasional eve and weekend hours may be required. May undergo background check incl drug screening. May require pre-hire technical screen or interview. Must have a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, rel Engineering, or other rel field, and 5 years relevant exp in Electrical Design. Also requires skills (2 yrs exp) in: construction management; safety procedures and OSHA requirements for electrical installations, including Lock-Out, Electrical Safe Work Practices, Control of Hazardous Energy, and arc flash safety; and applying prevailing building codes and professional industry standards, including IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, ASME, AMCA, ARI, AWS, ASH RAE, and FM.
