Job Description

The Material Handling Engineer (MHE) is responsible for managing new model and existing Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) and Material Handling Equipment. Maintains existing PIVs including Hi-Lo, tuggers and Automated Guided Vehicles. Responsible for all material handling equipment needed to support operations. This position will work with material flow and dock and warehouse specialist and other MH methods teams to ensure efficient material flow process.

Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field
Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
Familiar with mainframe systems - Rumba/ODIMS sessions
Proficient in AutoCAD drawings and ability to write projects
Thorough understanding of material flow systems, design and managing Purchasing and installing material handling equipment such as rack indexers, turn tables, over/under, shuttles & conveyors as needed

Preferred Qualifications:


Previous experience working in a union environment
Ability to demonstrate lean manufacturing knowledge and application
Familiar with Stellantis Systems: PentaSAP, CRATES, Container Management Systems, CSDS, eLEEN, TNR, TPR, GPSIS, TMS
