We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solid Surface Saw Operator to join our production team. The primary responsibility of this role is operating a Mayer automatic 10" saw to precisely cut solid surface materials and wood according to specifications.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in interpreting blueprints, setting up computerized equipment, and ensuring all materials meet our high-quality standards. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols, routine equipment maintenance, and effective collaboration with team members to meet production goals.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
- Operate and set up the Mayer automatic 10" saw to cut materials to precise specifications.
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Utilize and operate a computerized saw with a touchscreen interface (Windows PC-based programs).
- Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment, including cleaning, blade changes, and minor repairs.
- Follow all safety protocols and consistently wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and maintain precise records.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure production deadlines are consistently met.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to read prints and accurately use a tape measure.
- Strong numerical and basic mathematical skills.
- Familiarity with operating touchscreen and PC-based interfaces.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Additional Details:
- Schedule: FT 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with overtime as required
- Salary: Hourly pay between $20 and $24, based on experience
