Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting expertise within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in accounting software, financial reporting, and administrative support, ensuring accurate financial records and smooth office operations. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting various administrative functions vital to our organization’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and record journal entries accurately in accounting software
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
  • Support budgeting processes and conduct account analysis to monitor financial health
  • Generate detailed financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Handle administrative duties such as data entry, document management, and correspondence support

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries
  • Experience with corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, and public accounting environments is preferred
  • Knowledge of financial concepts including account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, account analysis, and budget management
  • Ability to perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations accurately
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining precise financial records
  • Strong communication skills for preparing financial reports and collaborating with team members or external auditors
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
