Job Summary
A Cleveland based company is expanding and seeking Licensed Lead Abatement Workers to join our growing team. We are a certified lead-safe and lead-abatement contractor completing projects across Cuyahoga County—and major partners. We have steady work available and need dependable, trained professionals who can start immediately.
The role involves working in environments that require attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to handle various tools and cleaning procedures. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining high safety standards while effectively completing abatement tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform lead abatement, lead-safe renovations, and hazard control work according to EPA and State of Ohio,
- Set up containment, perform safe demolition, HEPA vacuuming, cleaning, encapsulation, component replacement, and clearance prep.
- Follow all safety rules and maintain clean, compliant worksites and always use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with supervisors and crews to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain daily logs, documentation, and pictures as required for city and funding programs.
SKILLS
- Experience with cleaning, handling hazardous materials, or related construction work is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as scrapers, hammers, and pry bars
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of construction or restoration processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in potentially confined or challenging environments.
Requirements
- Ohio Lead Abatement Worker License – Required (no exceptions)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in residential environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Professional attitude and ability to work as part of a crew.
- Willingness to follow company SOPs and documentation requirements.
Preferred (Not Required)
- RRP certification
- Experience with grant-funded programs
- Carpentry, drywall, flooring, or general construction skills
