Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Laser Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flatbed or tube fiber laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has experience in laser operation, metal fabrication, CNC equipment, or related manufacturing processes. Experience with Fiber Lasers and CNC controls is preferred.
Pay: $21+ depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm (overtime as needed)

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate fiber laser cutting machines (flat sheet or tube/pipe laser systems).

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.

  • Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely and efficiently.

  • Select proper cutting programs, adjust parameters, and ensure optimal machine performance.

  • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools.

  • Monitor machine operation, troubleshoot issues, and make minor adjustments as needed.

  • Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning lenses, checking alignment, and inspecting consumables.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Work collaboratively with production, fabrication, and machine shop teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating fiber laser cutting equipment (flatbed or tube) preferred.

  • Experience with CNC controls preferred.

  • Experience in CNC operation, metal fabrication, or manufacturing environment required.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or CAD drawings.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers).

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
