Description
The Contracts Specialist reviews contractual agreements with an understanding of the contracting parties' requirements based on negotiations; assists with drafting of legal documents as required by the company; collaborates with a variety of stakeholders, including aviation professionals, lawyers, and office staff.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
2 or more years of legal or paralegal experience, preferably working directly with contracts
Knowledge of current and legally binding contractual language and terminology
Willingness to work virtually or in office setting
Ability to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for concerns identified by the contracting parties.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an impeccable mastery of the English language.
Clear adherence to company policies and procurement rules and regulations
Good organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously
Knowledge of negotiation best practices, both in-person and written form, that considers cultural norms and the client's best interest.
Knowledge of the relevant aviation industry is desirable; cargo aircraft maintenance and operations, aircraft leasing, and FAR Part 121
Major Responsibility Areas and Duties
Ensure the terms of contractual agreements are written in language that is consistent with negotiated commercial terms, legally binding and in accordance with the desires of the parties.
Assist company with the continuing management of active contracts
Review contract terms and conditions to verify they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations.
Self-monitor progress according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner
Proofread, fact check and edit legal documents for accuracy and consistency
Additional administrative duties as necessary including the management of contracts within the established Lease Management System.

Flexibility to work and travel outside of normal working hours, as needed

Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time
Ability to work in an office environment
Ability to have close and distance vision
Ability to lift up to 30lbs
