Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and build of heat-treating furnaces and related handling equipment.

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal design team members, external customers, and suppliers, guiding projects from initial contact through start-up and completion.

• Travel domestically and internationally to perform equipment installation, start-up, commissioning, and final testing.

• Utilize a strong background in systems integration to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Apply knowledge of heat theory, manufacturing guides, and combustion theories, including familiarity with burner systems and PLCs.

• Operate as a self-starter, managing time and resources effectively to execute field service duties independently.

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Field Service Engineer or Technician, preferably with heavy industrial machinery.

• Demonstrable expertise in the integration and troubleshooting of combined electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Proven ability to work effectively with design teams, customers, and suppliers.

• Must be a highly motivated and independent self-starter.

• Must be available for domestic and foreign travel (mostly in the midwest, 30-40%)

• Relevant technical degree or certification.
