Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Production Program Manager to oversee daily production operations while serving as the primary point of contact for assigned programs and customers. This position plays a critical role in ensuring we Deploy Faster, Operate with Confidence, and Design with Purpose across all production and program activities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment while balancing shop floor execution with program-level planning, communication, and accountability in support of mission-critical programs.

Essential Functions:

Lead daily production activities to ensure efficient, timely execution and on-time delivery

Develop and maintain production schedules that maximize throughput and reduce bottlenecks

Proactively identify risks to schedule, quality, or capacity and take swift corrective action

Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to accelerate production without compromising quality

Support new product introductions and rapid transitions from development to full-rate production

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned programs and customers, providing clear, accurate, and consistent communication

Own program execution from production kickoff through delivery, ensuring requirements, timelines, and commitments are met

Track program milestones, costs, risks, and action items, escalating issues with data-driven clarity

Lead cross-functional coordination between Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and accountability

Prepare and participate in program reviews, customer meetings, and internal planning sessions

Ensure production activities comply with company procedures, quality systems, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Monitor KPIs and production metrics to ensure predictable, repeatable outcomes

Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions when issues arise to prevent recurrence

Support audits, inspections, and customer reviews with confidence and preparedness

Identify and implement process improvements that simplify workflows, reduce waste, and improve efficiency

Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to ensure production processes are intentionally designed for manufacturability and scalability

Support capacity planning, long-range forecasting, and resource alignment

Contribute to lean manufacturing, continuous improvement initiatives, and best practice development

Provide clear direction and prioritization to production teams, ensuring work is purposeful and aligned to program goals

Foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous learning

Act as a connector between the shop floor and program leadership to ensure decisions are made with intent and impact

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

3–7 years of experience in production management, manufacturing operations, or program management

Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules and cross-functional programs

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools

Experience operating within an AS9100 Quality Management Systems.

Prior CAM, customer-facing, or program management experience

Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement background

Must be able to qualify for a Secret Security Clearance, if necessary
