SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 24 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 75 lbs., Driver requirements, repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.

 JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities.
This ETA 790 job order is filed for 49-3041 Farm Equipment Mechanic and service technician. Workers will perform multiple duties associated with this SOC code. Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems • Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools • Record details of repairs made and parts used • Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary • Clean and lubricate parts • Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools • Tune or overhaul engines • Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions • Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws • Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery • Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools • Repair bent or torn sheet metal • Install and repair agricultural irrigation, plumbing, and sprinkler systems GENERAL CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL CROPS: Fieldwork begins at assigned time usually shortly after daylight. Work is performed during light rain and in high humidity and in temperatures ranging from 90 (+) degrees to 35 degrees F. Workers will work on their feet in bent, stooped, and crouched positions for long periods of time. Workers will make fast, simple, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists. Workers must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs. Workers will use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects, such as potted plants. These could/will weigh 75 lbs. Workers will supply their own work clothes. All the tasks in this Job Description constitute one (1) job; the employer may assign workers to different tasks on any day or to multiple tasks during the same day in the sole judgment of the employer. The employer retains the right to discharge an obviously unqualified worker, malingerer or recalcitrant worker who is physically able to but does not demonstrate the willingness to perform the work necessary for the employer to grow a premium quality product. Workers are expected to coordinate and cooperate with fellow workers to complete the job in the most efficient and high-quality matter as possible. Workers are expected to work independently and as part of a team. When working as a team, they must coordinate with other team members of the team to accomplish the tasks. Workers should be able to communicate in oral and written form. Workers should be able to work in a fast-moving environment, with the adaptability to change job and multi-task. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:

BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.

HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.

TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).

WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCEProvided.

TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
