We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills to join our JFS Team in the Ohio Means Jobs-Coshocton County Division. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to helping individuals overcome employment barriers and achieve long-term success.
This position requires someone who can confidently manage multiple programs and caseloads, conduct assessments, develop individualized service plans, and provide intensive case management. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively, maintaining accurate records, and navigating complex systems and community resources.
Position Overview
Under the direction of the Ohio Means Jobs Administrator, the Ohio Means Jobs Caseworker (ERS2) is responsible for providing comprehensive case management, employment counseling, and job readiness services to individuals applying for or receiving public benefits, unemployment insurance and/or requesting workforce development services. The position also manages caseloads and customers across multiple programs (OWF, WIOA, SNAP E&T, CCMEP, PRC, RESEA, etc.) and collaborates with internal staff, community partners, and employers to connect individuals to resources and sustainable workforce opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of One year of experience as an Eligibility/Referral Specialist 1, 30121
Or Two years’ experience as Unit Support Worker 2, 30112
Or completion of undergraduate major core coursework in behavioral science, social science or education, one course or six months experience in interviewing techniques, and one course or six months experience in typing, keyboarding, or word processing
Or Completion of two years of technical education in behavioral science or social science, one course or six months experience in interviewing techniques, and one course or six months experience in typing, keyboarding, or word processing
Or Two courses or one year of experience in behavioral science, social science, or customer service techniques, one course or six months experience in business mathematics, one course or six months experince in business English, one course or six months experience in interviewing techniques, and one course or six months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing
Or Education, training and/or experience in amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications stated above
