Job Title: Temporary Painter - Bakery Manufacturing Plant
Position Summary

The Temporary Painter is responsible for performing painting and touch-up work throughout the bakery manufacturing facility to support maintenance, safety compliance, and facility upkeep. This role ensures that production areas, equipment surfaces, and plant infrastructure are properly coated, clean, and visually maintained to meet food-safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, or priming as required.
Apply paint, coatings, and finishes to walls, doors, equipment exteriors, floors, and structural areas within the plant.
Perform touch-ups, repainting, and detail work to maintain a clean and professional work environment.
Follow all facility safety, sanitation, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines while working in or near production areas.
Safely operate painting tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, ladders, and scaffolding.
Protect production machinery, electrical panels, food-contact surfaces, and ingredients by properly covering and isolating work areas.
Dispose of paint materials, solvents, and waste in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to schedule painting tasks with minimal disruption to production.
Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in commercial, industrial, or facility painting required; experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
Strong knowledge of surface preparation, general painting techniques, and use of painting equipment.
Ability to work safely around machinery, moving equipment, and food-production processes.
Understanding of GMP, HACCP, or similar food-safety standards (or willingness to learn).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work on ladders or elevated platforms.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This is a temporary position and will be no more than a 90-day assignment, with possible extension based on operational needs.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
