Senior Manager / Director - DCI (Disputes, Claims & Investigations), Wage & Hour

Stout is seeking a Senior Manager or Director with 8+ years of experience to join our Disputes, Claims & Investigations (DCI) Wage and Hour practice. This is a full-time leadership role offering comprehensive benefits, a 401(k), annual bonus eligibility, and long-term growth opportunities.

Senior Managers and Directors serve as trusted advisors to clients, lead complex engagements, and play a key role in developing talent, shaping strategy, and driving the continued growth of the Wage and Hour practice.

Impact You'll Make

In this leadership role, you will drive client outcomes, mentor teams, and shape the strategic direction of wage and hour engagements across the firm.

Lead and oversee complex wage and hour litigation, investigations, and consulting engagements from scoping through delivery.
Serve as a primary client contact, building trusted advisor relationships and delivering high-impact, defensible analyses.
Set analytical and methodological direction to ensure work product meets the highest standards of quality and rigor.
Provide strategic oversight across multiple engagements, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Contribute to the growth and reputation of the Wage and Hour practice through thought leadership, business development, and market presence.

What You'll Do

These responsibilities reflect the strategic, managerial, and technical leadership expected at the Senior Manager / Director level.

Lead engagement planning, including scoping, staffing, budgeting, and workplan development.
Oversee complex data analyses, expert support, and damages modeling related to wage and hour disputes.
Review and approve analytical work, reports, and expert-facing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and defensibility.
Manage and mentor Managers, Associates, and Analysts, supporting their development and performance growth.
Coordinate with internal experts, legal counsel, and clients to manage expectations and deliver successful outcomes.
Identify and mitigate engagement risks while navigating evolving client needs and litigation timelines.
Support business development efforts, including proposal development, client pitches, and relationship expansion.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; advanced degree preferred in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in wage and hour consulting, litigation support, economic consulting, or a closely related discipline.
Deep expertise in wage and hour matters, including data analysis, class certification support, damages analyses, and expert testimony preparation.
Strong understanding of advanced data and analytical tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, STATA, R, or similar platforms), with the ability to guide technical teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting complex analyses to clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated success managing large, complex engagements and multiple teams simultaneously.
