Job Title: Product Manager (Edge Thermal)

Reporting to: Ashley Murphy - Supervisor Product Management

Role Statement:

The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the product roadmaps, cooperating closely with regions to collect Voice of Customer and create product specifications that will make our portfolio competitive and profitable, meeting our business targets globally.

He/She will play a key role in our New Product Development (NPD) process, developing Business Cases, Product Specifications and other NPD deliverables, cooperating closely with cross functional teams including (but not limited to) Engineering, PMO, Marketing, Sales, Service and Quality.

Key Duties:

* Contribute to the Edge Thermal Roadmap, define offering strategy to meet the Edge Thermal business targets
* Cooperate with regions to collect their voice of customer (VoC) and incorporate it into the overall global offering strategy and product roadmap
* Prepare Product specifications based on VoC, make sure that specification reflects requirements of all regions to meet regional and global business targets
* Prepare Business Cases to justify investments into new product development and demonstrate return on the investment.
* Work with regional marketing teams on preparing product launches, including collaterals, sales trainings, website updates, marketing communications, etc...
* Pricing leadership - define and implement wining pricing strategy for new products, regular pricelist review with regions to ensure product profitability and competitiveness.
* Own the market data - work with external and internal resources to understand Edge Thermal market size and Vertiv's market share
* Support Monthly and Quarterly business reviews
* Product life cycle management.
* Work with Solutions team to make sure Edge Thermal offers can be easily integrated into our solutions, reflect their requirements and VOC in new product specifications, support them with product expertise
* Analyze competition, understand their strengths and weaknesses, propose product updates to close gaps with competition.
* Develop and manage sales enablement tools (CPQ, Configure 1, VSD) in support of Edge Thermal solutions.

Qualifications


* 2+ years of relevant business experience in Product Management and/or Application Engineering and/or Technical sales
* Experience from companies dealing with air conditioning systems, air handling systems, consulting engineering firms, construction or maintenance companies is a plus
* Experience with working in international teams
* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
* Experience with (or desire to learn) developing
