Job Description: LANDSCAPE LABORER. 04 Temporary/Full-time seasonal positions available with BOCKELMAN'S LANDSCAPING, INC. from 03/04/2026-11/15/2026. Duties include to Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Performs a variety of task, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and instillation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall unit, walks, or water features. The job will require the worker to: gather and remove litter; use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes; operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, skidstear, tractors, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, or rototillers; water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans; prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws; spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders; care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls ; follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage; trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds; attach wires from planted trees to support stakes; plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools; mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers; rake, mulch, and compost leaves; decorate gardens with stones or plants; provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, or other grounds features; haul or spread topsoil or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place; install rock gardens, ponds, water features, retaining walls; dispose of trash or waste materials; trim trees or other vegetation; treat greenery or surfaces with protective substances; maintain equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning; cultivate lawns, turf, or gardens; clean facilities or sites to ensure that all waste and litter is placed in proper receptacles and all tools, equipment, and supplies are organized and stored properly; install equipment to protect or support trees; plant greenery to improve landscape appearance; remove debris from work sites. The job will require the worker to be exposed to weather/outdoors, noise, hot/cold temperatures and will need to wear common protective/safety equipment. The job will require the worker to have attention to detail, thorough in completing work tasks, cooperative, dependable and responsible. Entry level; Requires supervision. No minimum education or work experience required. The job will require the worker to perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Driver's license required.

Shift: The standard work schedule is from 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday. The worker may be offered more than the stated hours per day, depending on weather and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours. Saturday work may be required when necessary.

Salary/Wage: Workers will be paid no less than $17.41 per hour with at least 40 hours per week. The worker may be offered more than the stated hours per day, depending on weather and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours. Work on Saturday may be required when necessary.

Frequency of Pay: Bi-weekly

Voluntary Pay Deductions: The employer will make pre-authorized elective deductions such as for the reasonable fair market value cost of rent and/or utilities for those employees who voluntarily elect to live in employer offered housing. The employer does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions.


Will daily transportation be provided?: YesThe centralized pick-up location will be at the designated worker housing site. Workers are responsible for arranging their daily transportation to and from this pick-up location. The employer will then provide each work crew with transportation to and between the various worksite locations each day.

Provision of Board/Lodging or Other Facilities: Yes. Employer intends to assist foreign and non-local U.S. workers hired pursuant to this job order to secure worker-paid lodging not to exceed reasonable fair market value cost based on number of occupants.

Is On-the-Job Training available?: Yes. The employer will provide on-site on-the-job training to all workers.

The employer guarantees to offer work for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment and ending on the expiration date specified in this job order or its extension, if any. The employer may include all hours actually worked as well as any hours offered consistent with the job order that a worker chooses to not work, up to the maximum number of daily hours on the job order. If worker separation is due to voluntary abandonment, the employer will not be responsible for providing or paying return transportation and subsistence expenses of the worker and the worker is not entitled to the full three-quarter period guarantee described above.

If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.

Deductions from the Worker’s Paycheck: The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law.

First Workweek Reimbursement: Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).

Provision of Tools, Supplies, and Equipment: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

Single Workweek for Pay: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
