Responsible for understanding current Paint production running characteristics within their factory of responsibility. Assess gaps between running condition to standards and working with the local team to develop solutions to close the gaps (delivery, quality, environmental, material usage, core time achievement, etc.). Based on the scope of the improvement needs, work with the local team to develop a budget plan to implement those improvement characteristics and track results. Help the factory meet or exceed the global standard targets established for the department and continue analysis of data to understand running conditions for further improvements. 20% international and domestic travel.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Industrial Engineering; 4 years of relevant professional experience; 4 years of experience with an Automotive Paint Department; 4 years of experience with Delivery system analysis, including gap analysis of current delivery systems and proposal Of countermeasures how to improve current conditions; 4 years of experience with Material analysis, including ability to handle raw materials, understanding pigments, resins, and solvents along with additives, and understanding process equipment operation; 4 years of experience with Quality analysis, including ability to identify and troubleshoot issues like settling, separation, color match, adhesion failure, etc.; and 4 years of experience with Regulatory Compliance, including understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
