Job Description

Position Overview: Superior Credit Union is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Consumer Loan Underwriter to join its team at the corporate office in Lima, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of consumer lending practices, including dealership financing, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn while working collaboratively in a team-focused environment.

Job Responsibilities: As a Consumer Loan Underwriter, you will:
• Review, evaluate, and underwrite consumer loan applications
• Analyze financial information to assess creditworthiness and risk
• Support dealership financing and indirect lending processes
• Ensure loan decisions align with credit union policies and regulations
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and lending partners
• Maintain accurate and compliant loan documentation

Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong computer literacy
• Financial literacy and analytical thinking skills
• Knowledge of banking products and services
• Knowledge of consumer loans and dealership financing
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn and ability to work effectively as a team player

Compensation and Schedule:
• $22.05 – $34.52 per hour (commensurate with experience)
