Job Description

Mercy Health Physicians Cincinnati, LLC, a part of Bon Secours Mercy Health, Inc., has an opening available in Fairfield, Ohio for an Internal Medicine Physician / Associate Program Director of Ambulatory Medicine.

 

Duties: Diagnose, treat and provide medical and administrative services to adult patients at the Medical Practice and hospital; Prepare and maintain proper medical records and reports in accordance with Mercy Health's policies, standards, and requirements and federal regulations; Comply with and participate in quality improvement and utilization review programs of Mercy Health and the Medical Practice, as well as the Corporate Responsibility Program; Cooperate with Mercy Health in providing in-service training, continuing medical education, and staff development programs for physicians and nursing personnel at the Medical Practice; Provide collaboration for mid-level providers as reasonably requested by Mercy Health; Practice medicine within the residency continuity clinic, spending a majority of clinical activity in the direct supervision of residents; Assist the Program Director in the scheduling of educational activities; Serve as a resident advocate and provide leadership to direct reports; Develop, coordinate, and maintain standardized work procedures and policies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in resident training; and Support the strategic growth of the ambulatory medicine department by creating new programs and growth initiatives.

 

Requirements: MD or DO (foreign equivalent degree accepted); Unrestricted Ohio Medical License; Unrestricted DEA registration; Graduate of Accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program, Internal Medicine board certification, and 3 years of experience as a Physician, Medical Faculty, or closely related role. Also requires: 3 years of experience as a Physician after completion of residency and 3 years of academic/teaching experience (experience may be gained concurrently).

 

Schedule: 40 hrs/wk dedicated to GME in associate program director role. 75% Clinical, 25% Administration of the Program. Rotated night/weekend call amongst faculty members. Call ratio will vary with # of faculty and programming.
