Job Description

Summary:

The BI Architect will understand and translate business needs into analytical data models supporting long-term solutions.

Project Details:


* Work with the BI Analysts & Data Architects to develop conceptual data models
* Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
* Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects
* Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata
* Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new use cases
* Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
* Lead and provide technical guidance for design and implementation of data warehouse and governance systems
* Ensure data usage is in line with privacy and security policies
* Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts
* Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies
* Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness
* Establish standards and guidelines for developing data models
* Guide BI Analysts and Self-Developed BI community on platform limitations and capabilities

Job Experience:


* Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other data related field
* Advanced degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science a plus
* 8+ years of experience as Data Modeler /Data Architect creating data models and working in Data Architecture and Data Management solutions.
Hourly Rate: 63-83
