Edgewood Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Transportation Driver who is also a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our dedicated care team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing hands-on resident care while also ensuring safe and reliable transportation for our residents.
Position Summary
The Transportation Driver / STNA is responsible for safely transporting residents to and from medical appointments and assisting with resident care as an STNA when not driving. This role plays a vital part in maintaining resident safety, comfort, and dignity both inside and outside the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Duties:
Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and other approved destinations
Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle, including wheelchairs and mobility devices
Ensure vehicle cleanliness, safety, and compliance with state regulations
Maintain accurate transportation logs and schedules
STNA Duties:
Provide direct resident care in accordance with care plans
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Support resident comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being
Qualifications
Current Ohio STNA certification in good standing
Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle record review
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
