RESPONSIBILITIES
- Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures and Job Safety Analysis
- Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality
- Perform all position welding following prescribed procedures
- Must be able to position fabricated components in fit-up jigs and fixtures and use turning rigs when necessary
- Responsible for the high quality of product and good safety habits
- Responsible for the safety and training of others
- Responsible for compliance with all documented procedures and employee handbook
- Responsible for the quality and quantity of the finished product
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a working team environment
- Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping
- Responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment
- Responsible for safety, quality, and production with limited supervision
- Be able and required to weld all products within the business unit
- Must be willing to cross train and fill in as necessary in other departments
- Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Team Leader
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1 year welding experience.
- Be able to read assemblies, and welds from blueprints.
- Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
- Must be able to read a tape measure and be trained to operate overhead crane
