Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting Team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for executing and coordinating the daily operations of the accounting department. This includes assisting with monthly and annual close activities, the annual audit, and special projects as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, work ethic, and the ability to collaborate in a changing and fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Execute daily and monthly accounting activities (e.g., recording journal entries and GL account reconciliations).
Assist in the preparation and review of management's monthly variance analysis and summarize financial results vs. historical periods and forecast.
Assist in the preparation of annual financial reports including the balance sheets, income statement, cash flow statement and supporting information.
Field and resolve inquiries from management and the external auditors.
Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Identify value-add opportunities and drive change to support the long-term growth of the company.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Certified Public Accountant (preferred)
3-6 years of experience in public and/or corporate accounting
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively
Strong organizational / time management skills and ability to prioritize
Work Environment
This role is based in an office setting.
