JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary
The Plant Controller serves as the financial leader for the plant and a key member of the plant leadership team. This highly visible role oversees all plant accounting activities and provides critical financial insights to guide operational decisions and long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities


* Direct plant accounting operations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly statements, annual budgets, and forecasts.
* Manage month-end close processes and validate the accuracy of financial statements.
* Analyze overhead, cost of sales, and manufacturing costs; identify variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods. Maintain material cost standards for accurate product costing.
* Coordinate and participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
* Review and match invoices to receipts, ensuring proper account coding.
* Oversee accounting for plant fixed assets and repairs, including capital expenditure requests.
* Ensure production processes impacting financial data are accurately executed.
* Implement and maintain systems and controls to safeguard assets, processes, and data integrity.
* Identify cost trends and collaborate with plant teams to develop cost-saving initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements


* Bachelor's degree required.
* 2-3 years of manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; QAD experience preferred.
* Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team.
