Do you have a passion for helping others and want to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults in our community? The Senior Hub-Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County is seeking a full-time Kitchen Associate to assist in providing our clients with quality, nutritious meals.
The Senior Hub-Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County is a large, 501c3 nonprofit organization serving Fairfield County. The agency serves as the county’s office on aging providing programs and services to improve health, connection, and independent living for those 60 and older living in Fairfield County.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Meal Prep
- Work the hot-food tray line
- Cup, pack and/or seal cold foods and juice
- Pack coolers and hot boxes
- Pack shelf-stable meals and sacks
- Dishes
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
- General cleaning of kitchen and warehouse areas
- Other duties as assigned to ensure the Agency’s Mission is fulfilled
*This position is Monday-Friday 7a-3p*
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
Ability to climbs stairs, stand for long periods of time, and walk over a variety of surfaces
Prior commercial kitchen experience preferred
