Job Description

The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will lead and oversight multiple projects on assigned BU, focused on target plant Operations leading product transfers, new product introduction programs, process improvements, and capital projects to support Growth for the target sites and the standardization of manufacturing processes across Vertiv plants. This position will also coordinate the development and enforcement of global manufacturing standards and technology leadership. Interact directly with Design Engineering, Program Manager and Operations Team at the target site to coordinate and execute NPDI milestones and deliverables.

Responsibilities:


* Work closely with Line of Business Leaders to ensure manufacturing plans are aligned to Product Roadmaps.
* Responsible for End of Line Testing Equipment, Parameters, scripts and Capex associated
* Lead, Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products according to NPDI program
* Lead and Provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development programs.
* Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
* Identify, justify, pilot, and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies, processes, equipment, and practices. Capital projects that support Growth, NPDI, Product Transfers, Technical Capacity and Footprint associated
* Provide support for manufactured cost analyses of new and existing products.
* Responsible for the execution of Manufacturing Readiness Checklist and deliverables of NPDI Process
* Leader for Manufacturing Prototype builds along with the local operation team to achieve 2 weeks LT
* Accountable and Supportive Role for Engineering Prototype builds with Design Engineering
* Actively intervenes in growth strategies for assigned BU, footprint and technical capacity definition - Enables growth for Assembly, Fabrication, Testing, Infrastructure using latest simulation techniques, Digital Twin, Digital Factory
* Implement best manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support.
* Assist with business-critical capital projects including facility planning, layout, and cost justification.
Qualifications:


* Bachelor's Science Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Business Operations Management and 5+ years manufacturing experience
* Preferred - MSME/IE/MBA and 3+ years manufacturing experience
* Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications.
* PC working knowledge (MS Office, PDM system, CADD, Minitab)
* Facility or Production Line Layout development (using AutoCad or equivalent)
* Strong Mechanical aptitude
* Knowledge of assembly and fabrication processes
* Knowledge of Design tools, methods, and new technologies
* Working knowledge of financial and business applications
* Skill in vendor analysis and negotiations
* Strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
* Effective use of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvement tools.
* Preferred: Material Requirements Planning proficiency (ERP/MRP software)
* Preferred: Experience supporting manufacturing of system-level Configured products (containing controls and an HMI)
* Preferred: Experience compiling and submitting Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR's)
Education And Certifications:

Minimum:

BSME/IE/Business Operations Management and 5-7 years manufacturing experience

Equivalent Professional Experience - 7 years of proven career and expertise
