What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors

The Transportation Project Engineer works independently or as a member of a design team performing road design tasks for Local, County, and ODOT projects out of the Akron, Cleveland, or Columbus offices. This individual works directly for the Project Manager. As a trusted member of OHM Advisors' Transportation Group, you will join a growing, mission-driven team of innovative thinkers who collaborate daily, using our combined gifts and talents to continually advance the communities we serve.

Your Responsibilities


* Participate in the collection and analysis of data for roadway/highway and infrastructure projects.
* Prepare construction plans and documents.
* Perform design calculations.
* Develop and prepare design specifications.
* Perform project quantity estimates and construction cost estimating.
* Organize scheduling of specific assigned tasks and assignments.
* Understanding OHM services and how they relate to the client's organization and needs.

Requirements:

Education, Experience & Licensure:


* Must be registered as a Professional Engineer in Ohio.
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required with a focus on Transportation.
* Have 5+ years' experience in the development of roadway/highway design plans.
* Understanding of ODOT design criteria, standards, specification, and plan preparation.
* Experience working in OpenRoads Design and/or Civil 3D.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, and enjoy working in a team environment.
* Positive attitude and eagerness to grow our Transportation Team in Ohio.
