Job Description

Description: Entry-level, full-time position in light manufacturing. The Electronics Manufacturing Technician participates in required tasks for testing and final assembly of electronic systems. This is a full-time, salaried position. Annual salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience level, but starts at $19.50/hr minimum equivalent. Work hours are 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, M-F, with the willingness to work additional hours if production schedule requires.

Company Description: Performance Electronics, Ltd (PE) is an engineering company specializing in the design and manufacture of embedded electronic control systems for various industries, but with a strong application in internal combustion engine controls.

Position Requirements:
• A high school diploma or GED, at minimum. Associate degree or other continuing education, particularly in Electrical Technology or equivalent technical field, is a plus.
• Hands-on individual with strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in circuit-level (PCB) electronics.
• Prior experience in manufacturing &/or electronics is a plus.
• Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently under delivery deadlines.
• A positive attitude, exemplary attendance and being a reliable team player.
• IPC certifications are a plus.

Job Duties:
• Load firmware onto electronic circuit boards.
• Operate custom test rigs to verify electronics are functioning correctly.
• Hand assemble the final product to drawing specifications using basic equipment like hand tools.
• Receive vendor inventory and complete receiving checkout procedures.
• Identify and troubleshoot product quality issues and assist with non-conformance tracking.
• Effectively learn and retain key work procedures. Update and enhance documentation when required.
• Demonstrate accuracy and neatness in your work and take responsibility for the quality of your work.
• Complete other general technical and production work, and general facilities responsibilities as assigned.
