MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
LISW or LPCC or working toward that licensing, or LSW/LPC and/ or experience as a practitioner, good oral and written communication skills, computer knowledgeable, ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with co-workers, ability to draw valid conclusion from given information and demonstrates the ability to serve youth and families of all cultural backgrounds in the routine performance of work duties. Possession of a valid Ohio Driver's License.
Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.

Job Responsibility: Under general supervision is responsible for therapeutic interventions with the residents and parents.
Illustrative Duties:
- Facilitates all progress reviews of residents.
- Provides educational and therapeutic interventions for youth and families both in individual and group settings.
- Helps facilitate aftercare planning.
- Evaluates the programmatic offerings of the center in terms usefulness.
- Confers with any other person or agency providing services to youth in order to ensure a consistent approach.
- Completes all necessary reports in a timely fashion.
- Participates in staff meetings as required.
- Studies and reviews literature on a best and promising practices to stay current in the field.
- Confers with line staff to ensure that custody and treatment staff are coordinating their efforts.
- Confers with court staff on a regular basis to give progress and updates.
- Participates in speaking engagements as required.
- Trains custody staff on thinking errors, life skills, and victim awareness.
Qualifications:
- LISW or LPCC or working toward that licensing, or LSW/LPC and/ or experience as a practitioner
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Computer knowledgeable
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with co-workers
- Ability to draw valid conclusion from given information and demonstrates the ability to serve youth and families of all cultural backgrounds in the routine performance of work duties
- Possession of a valid Ohio Driver's License.
Physical requirements:
- Alternate frequently between sitting/standing/ walking throughout an eight (8) hour workday
- Lift/ carry a minimum of fifty (50) pounds
- Push/ pull with sixty (60) pounds of initial force
- Reaching with bilateral upper extremities into/up to / down to various heights
- Climb onto stepladder (2 steps)
- Bend/ squat/crouch/kneel
- Excessive physical exertion may be required to maintain control and cooperation of inmates
