Job Description

The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu) is seeking a full-time assistant director of financial aid, operations and processing, responsible to steward the Direct PLUS loan and private alternative loan program which includes reviewing eligibility, monitor application submissions, and staying current on regulations; manage communication with students needing additional documentation prior to awarding; review documentation pertaining to database match issues (citizenship, aggregate loan limits, etc.); serve as a member of the Special Circumstance Committee; participate in outreach activities such as resource tables during special events; provide general financial aid and scholarship guidance to families during peak times; assist the Office of Student Employment with Federal Work Study issues; assist Director with file collection for audits; understanding and applying federal packaging to assist in awarding process; and working with other team members to accomplish the goals of the Office of Financial Aid.

A bachelor’s degree, with two years of experience in related area required. The ideal candidate will possess financial aid; experience with Workday; and State and federal reporting experience.
