Summary:

Electrical Engineer will assist in design, development, implementation, and analysis of parts, systems and technical processes. Works with a team of engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports. Completes engineering projects and electro-mechanical system designs to support the successful development, implementation, and sustainment of new systems and products, or modifications and revisions to current systems and products.

Essential Duties:


Control system design
Power system design, including VFDs
Develop electrical schematics
Develop wiring diagrams
Wire harness development, including wire lists
2D CAD design experience required (AutoCAD software experience preferred)
Work with mechanical engineers and designers to build 3D electrical enclosure layouts (Solid Works experience would be considered a plus)
Complete designs with and direct technical activities of assigned designers and technicians
Use of Product Data Management (PDM) software for revision control (Solid Works EPDM experience would be considered a plus)
Create/edit BOMs using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (SAP experience preferred)
Familiarity with analog and digital electrical circuits and components
Familiarity with electrical component selection and panel wiring
Familiarity with communication buses such as RS232/RS422/RS485, CAN bus, LVSB, and Ethernet preferred
Follow standard project management practices
Proactively identifies and mitigates risk
Receives and follows direction
Works professionally with teammates and colleagues
Adheres to all quality and safety standards
May participate in cross-functional teams and work groups
Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:


BS degree in Engineering required. MS degree in Engineering or passed FE exam preferred
3-5 years related experience
Experience w/AutoCAD for electrical systems design
Professional use of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)/Product Data Management (PDM) software; Solid Works EPDM preferred
ERP/MRP software proficiency; SAP preferred
Experience developing control systems including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and enclosure layouts. PCB experience a plus
Experience working with engineering project management tools
Possess strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages; Microsoft Office
Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
