Position Title: Analyst 1-3, Marketing
Reports To: Manager, Marketing

Position Summary:
This position is accountable for supporting and advancing product marketing effectiveness across North American Aftermarket, OE, and Fleet channels—scaled in scope, complexity, and strategic contribution according to level (1–3). The role develops and executes Tactical Marketing Plans (TMPs), drives content and messaging development, and builds product-line expertise to support customer engagement and business growth. Marketing Analysts collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure aligned, accurate, and impactful marketing initiatives across the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Create, develop, and secure approval for Tactical Marketing Plans (TMPs) for assigned product lines; update as needed.
- Develop product messaging including features, benefits, and limitations tailored to target audiences.
- Build and maintain M‑SME expertise for assigned product lines.
- Develop and/or guide marketing collateral using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Copilot, and vendor-specific platforms.
- Represent Bendix at trade shows, customer meetings, demos, and industry events.
- Conduct market research and summarize insights for internal stakeholders.
- Generate reports on trends and product performance using internal sales systems (BW, SAP, etc.).
- Create and administer surveys to evaluate customer satisfaction, expectations, market conditions, and company image.
- Participate in marketing projects, support cross‑functional collaboration, and contribute as a productive team member.
- Support customer interactions in alignment with Sales and Marketing leadership.

MARKETING ANALYST 1
Scope & Impact:
- Supports foundational tactical marketing activities for defined product lines.
- Executes established processes while growing product knowledge and marketing competencies.
Decision-Making & Autonomy:
- Works under guidance; escalates unclear or complex tasks.
- Completes routine analysis, content creation, and research activities.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Collaborates across PGs, Sales, and Marketing peers on clearly defined workstreams.
- Contributes to team projects and innovation efforts.
Customer Engagement:
- Participates in light customer interactions, typically accompanied by senior team members.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of fundamental marketing practices, tools, and B2B methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of sales strategies and database/query tools.
- Basic familiarity with commercial vehicle industry (preferred)
Experience:
- 1–3 years in marketing, product marketing, sales, product management, or business development.
- Industrial/technical product experience preferred.
- Co-op/intern experience acceptable.
Skills:
- Foundational strategic thinking.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Intermediate level with Microsoft Office, software packages (BW and SAP reporting).
- Foundational familiarity with Adobe Suite, Copilot, and digital research tools.
- Capable of writing basic copy and supporting collateral design.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities professionally and collaboratively.

MARKETING ANALYST 2
Scope & Impact:
- Manages more complex marketing responsibilities across OE, Fleet, and A/M channels.
- Drives TMP development, messaging, and promotional execution with greater autonomy.
- Serves as an M‑SME for assigned and core product lines.
Decision-Making & Autonomy:
- Operates independently; frames messaging and tactical recommendations.
- Oversees or conducts market research, reporting, and survey insights.
- Responds to moderate ad‑hoc marketing inquiries.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Core contributor on marketing innovation projects.
- Collaborates across sales, engineering, legal, systems engineering, and external vendors.
Customer Engagement:
- Participates in moderate customer interactions; may operate independently to gather insights.
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of marketing tools, direct/targeted marketing practices, and B2B strategies.
- Intermediate database/query tool knowledge.
- Understanding of commercial vehicle industry segments (OE, Fleet, Aftermarket) and key competitors.
- Knowledge of braking systems, CMS, compressors, air dryers, wheel ends.
Experience:
- 3+ years in product marketing, sales, product management, or business development.
- Experience marketing technical/industrial products required.
- Commercial vehicle or heavy industrial equipment experience preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Intermediate project management skills (budgets, timelines, notes, reporting).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, software packages (BW and SAP reporting), Adobe Suite, Copilot, and digital tools.
- Understanding of AI’s role in marketing and its limitations.
- Digital marketing/SEO/automation skills a plus.

MARKETING ANALYST 3
Scope & Impact:
- Senior-level marketing professional leading TMPs and high‑complexity strategic marketing programs across OE, Fleet, and A/M channels.
- Owns the most active or complex product lines and initiatives.
- Drives marketing innovation, introduces new methodologies, and elevates brand presence.
- Ensures marketing alignment with Sales and Demo teams.
Decision-Making & Autonomy:
- Operates with high autonomy; minimal supervision required.
- Makes complex marketing, messaging, and execution decisions.
- Directs multi-faceted, cross-functional initiatives and customer-facing activities.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Leads marketing innovation projects and cross‑functional work teams.
- Mentors junior staff; may lead intern/co‑op hiring and workload management.
- Manages third‑party vendors and creative partners.
Customer Engagement:
- Frequent and independent customer interaction; serves as a primary Marketing representative.
- Handles pricing requests, RFQs, supply agreements, awards of business, and advanced customer engagements.
- Translates VOC into actionable marketing strategies.
Knowledge:
- Advanced understanding of marketing tools, methodologies, B2B strategies, and research techniques.
- Strong knowledge of sales strategies and customer decision processes.
- Working knowledge of commercial vehicle industry (OE, Fleet, A/M) and major competitors.
- Understanding of relevant vehicle system technologies (braking, CMS, compressors, air dryers, wheel ends).
- Brings lessons learned from previous programs, NPIs, digital campaigns, events, and vendor management.
