MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply principles to solve practical, everyday problems dealing with a variety of variables. Knowledge of budgeting, public relations, office practices, and procedures, interviewing, income maintenance programs, agency practices, and regulations. Ability to deal with a large number of variables and determine specific courses of action on basis of need. Ability to gather, collate, and classify information about data, people, and things.

Job Duties:
*Perform various front-line lobby duties while working in the OhioMeansJobs Resource Room.
*Delivery of program services for RESEA (Reemployment Service & Eligibility Assessment). These duties are currently grant funded.
- Provide courteous, friendly, and professional assistance to all clientele.
- Ability to develop good rapport with co-workers and clients.
- Greet people who enter the OMJ Resource room and determine the purpose of the visit
- Answer telephone, take messages, and forward calls to appropriate person.
- Provide one-on-one client assistance in the resource room including resume assistance, OMJ website assistance, job searching, and general unemployment assistance.
- Assist employers in posting open positions to the OhioMeansJobs website.
- Create flyers for employment outreach, OMJ services, and to promote events.
- Assist employers in scheduling hiring events or attending job fairs.
- Assist in managing social media accounts.
- Assist local schools with helping students to register on OhioMeansJobs.
- Ensure completion of required forms including screening PRC and WIOA applications.
- Monitor client computer activity.
- Refer customers to other inside/outside agencies and resources.
- Provide tours to guests and visitors.
- Assist volunteer partners.
- Assist/plan various special events, programs, and services.
- Computer and fax use.
- Attending staff meetings, training, and workshops as required.
- Coverage as assigned including lunch and leave coverage.
- Perform data entry.
- Conduct and track mass mailings and emails.
- Promotes the Agency's mission of advocating self-sufficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
RESEA:
- Conducts Workshop Sessions when RESEA participants are present: plans (i.e., establishes frequency and length of workshop; sets up training room; identifies presentation style {small groups, classroom, conference, U-shape) ; identifies communication style; prepares workshop schedule and agenda); develops and compiles workshop handouts and materials using computer and applicable software (e.g., word processing; spreadsheet; presentation software); identifies and notifies participants and/or guest speakers; distributes workshop notifications; tracks participant attendance; tracks evaluation process and training outcomes; coordinates with other OhioMeansJobs center partners to create goals and strategies for workshop delivery; facilitates training to meet customer needs; evaluates workshop effectiveness and identifies trends in learning and workshop improvement opportunities; distributes and ensures needs assessment is completed by job seeker, if appropriate; collects data on training needs of participants and suggested workshop topics.
- Delivery of Program Services; Reemployment Service and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program services: (i.e., sends letters to applicants; schedule and record attendance and/or supplemental activities in Ohio Workforce Case Management System (OWCMS), assists applicant in development of an individual employment plan to identify barriers to employment; refers applicant to support services {e.g., community and/or OhioMeansJobs Center partner services}); follows up to ensure subscribed supplemental activities are completed.
- Services RESEA Job Seeker Accounts; using computer, registers new applicants or updates previous applications for employment using OWCMS; interviews job seeker to determine personal and work history to assess skills, aptitude, physical limitations, job interest, and readiness, develops mutually agreed upon employability plan to access employment/training opportunities and to address barriers which may negatively impact successful job search outcomes; instructs and informs job seekers on labor market information and how to access employment opportunities; using OhioMeansJobs.com match job seeker and employers based on needs and requirements; contacts job seekers via telephone and/or electronic mail regarding job referrals to employment opportunities; responds to job seeker concerns regarding appropriateness, quality, and number of job referrals; contacts job seeker direct or use other means to track and enter appropriate placement information in OWCMS; records and maintains on-going account of service activities provided to job seeker on appropriate screens in OWCMS (e.g., case management); identifies post-employment training opportunities; provide guidance to customers, (e.g., registration not OhioMeansJobs.com; create, post and/or upload resumes; completes Career profile assessment in the system).
- Provides General Orientation to RESEA customers; acts as initial greeter to RESEA customers and provides general information and reference materials regarding OhioMeansJobs Center partner services, schedules customers for group orientation sessions and/or refers to Resource Room and/or refers to OhioMeansJobs Center partner for services; assists in group presentation to orient RESEA customers to OhioMeansJobs partner services.
Minimum knowledge of:

Physical Requirements:
- Alternate frequently between sitting/standing/walking throughout an eight (8) hour workday.

- Bend/squat/crouch/kneel.
