Responsibilities

ADS is seeking a skilled and forwardthinking Applications Manager to lead a team responsible for delivering, supporting, and continuously enhancing enterprise business applications. This role oversees the full lifecycle of ADS’s application portfolio—planning, implementation, maintenance, optimization—and ensures a strategic roadmap aligned to business objectives and IT standards. The Applications Manager drives operational excellence, ensures application reliability, manages vendor performance, and collaborates crossfunctionally to enable business transformation and technology innovation across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, coach, and develop a highperforming, inclusive applications support team.
  • Lead and sequence a portfolio of projects and enhancements to maximize business value.
  • Maintain and own the application roadmap, including release planning, integrations, and environment strategies.
  • Establish and govern application configuration standards, data integrity practices, and compliance controls.
  • Align with infrastructure, security, data, and BI teams to ensure integrated and secure solutions.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture to drive standardization, reduce technical debt, and support scalable design patterns.
  • Ensure “keep the lights on” (KTLO) performance, monitor application health, and lead or support root cause analyses.
  • Oversee major incidents and problem management activities for accountable applications.
  • Manage relationships with MSPs and SaaS solution providers to ensure highquality service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in enterprise applications (ERP, SCM, CRM, Web, or domainspecific platforms).
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams (analysts, developers, project managers), including remote team leadership.
  • Broad experience across cloud applications, custom development, and deployment environments.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent enhancements or projects in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and familiarity with ITILaligned service management practices.
  • Ability to work occasional afterhours support and travel as needed.
