Mahoning County Board of Commissioners is seeking to hire a Social Service Aide.
Essential Job Functions:
Retrieve voice mails from clients calling to make appointments for their transportation needs, clear voice mails afterward.
Approve clients for out-of-county transport and maintain records.
Record all calls for appointments on the assignment log, noting special needs of the client.
Verify client’s Medicaid eligibility.
Make appointments by adding client information and assign provider; and reschedule same as necessary.
Mail provider information and bus pass to client as applicable.
Follow-up and catalog complaints and missed appointments; make comment as to resolution.
Maintain and update assignment log to ensure appointments are sent to the provider in a timely manner.
Assist in answering client questions with regard to a vendor or services provided.
Receive and process e-mails from transportation providers and dialysis centers.
Return calls to clients and answer inquiries timely and in a professional manner.
Reassign provider when requested by the client.
Sort assignment log on a monthly basis.
Maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately manage sensitive information.
Photocopy forms and documents.
Assist staff with daily operations as requested.
Maintain and increase knowledge and skills through attendance at meetings in-service training sessions.
Perform additional duties and assignments as requested.
Minimum Requirements to Perform Work:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a clerical or related office position.
Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Must have access to, and use of own transportation.
Must be able to pass a Driving Record Check, Drug Test, and Background Check
Additional Details:
Days: Monday – Friday
Hourly Wage: $14.04
