Work Schedule
4-day / 10-hour work schedule
Saturdays may be scheduled as a 12-hour shift based on production needs
Shift Details
1st Shift- $17.57/hour
6:20am-4:30pm (Mondays have an early start time of 5:35am)
2nd Shift- $18.02/hour
4:15pm- Until production is finished
General Description:
Work closely with Scale Leads and Coordinator to ensure the correct masterpack units are loaded in the indexer, for interacting with the baggers below and finally into a finished salad pack. Timely and accurately loading the indexers is very critical to the production run. Care must be taken when handling allergens to prevent contaminations. Must be trained and pass the test for "Masterpack Employee Training Program"
Required Skills
Major Responsibilities:
* Load the correct master pack onto the indexer flight, in correct position
* Read and understand the Dole Food Company / Allergen Control Policy
* Ensure all master packs for a run are of the same number.
* If a bag is loaded onto the indexer hopper and it is discovered to be mixed bag of master packs, STOP the machine immediately and notify Lead/Coordinator on duty.
* Learn the various types of master packs and the proper orientation on the indexer for proper entry into the bagger below.
* Stop indexer immediately if a broken master pack is discovered. Notify Lead/Coordinator of issue and notify Sani-Tech to clean all affected areas for allergen control and cross contamination.
* Other tasks within the packaging room include reworking bags of salads, and packaging/stacking boxes of salads on skids.
* Must have the ability to be present at work on time, follow directions and interact well with co-workers
* Employees must adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP's related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF)
* Ensure the integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilities
* Support special projects and other duties as assigned
Required Experience
Skills/ Experience:
Pass Masterpack Training Program
Should be able to read and work in a fast-paced production environment
Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred.
Ability to work overtime including weekends as required
Ability to work in cold temperatures (32-35 degrees)
Willing to follow PPE protocol (hairnet, hardhat, gloves, smock/ safety vest)
