Job Description

Mission: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support our production operations. This role focuses on machining production parts efficiently, accurately, and safely while working closely with engineering and production teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC machining experience and working knowledge of Mastercam 2026 software to support programming, setup, and optimization of production processes.The primary purpose of this position is to support production and engineering by machining high-quality parts, CNC programming and setups, continuously improving machining processes to meet production schedules and quality standards within project cost objectives.

Performance Objectives: 

  • Strong communication and math skills.  
  • Ability to learn new technologies easily, including mastery of CNC Programming within one year. Mastercam 2026 software knowledge is a must. 
  • Prioritize tasks based on project, product and task list schedules by establishing credibility and a working relationship with the Products and Engineering teams. 
  • Complete internal/external customer requests on time within budgeted cost hours. This requires a close working relationship with project and product managers.  
  • Generate a working understanding of NuWaves’ business system within 60 days, with the goal of contributing to system improvements thereafter.  This includes understanding the company strategy and working within NuWaves’ Quality Management System.  
  • Knowledge of HAAS DT-2, 4 axis, high-speed drill and tap machine with full milling capabilities. 

 Typical Education and Experience: 

Associate’s degree in a related field and/or 3-5 years of relative experience. Background in manual mill and lathe is required. Prefer Journeyman relative experience.

U.S. Citizenship is a requirement.
