We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Services individual to become a child welfare professional to support our core mission of protecting children by strengthening families. This position will handle visitations Monday-Thursday and work the front desk on Friday's.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Schedules and supervises parental and/or family visitations as directed by Social Workers.
- Monitors visitation time and follows up with written reports; Confers with the Social Worker regarding client progress and case plans and court document filings.
- Provides transportation both inside and outside of Logan County for children under Child Protective Services including relocation/placement in foster homes, physician visits, and supervised parental visits.
- Greets the public and directs to desired person; replaces and/or assists other department employees as operations dictate; Receives, opens, screens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail; answers telephone calls, screens calls, transfers calls to proper individual, and takes phone messages as necessary. Scans files into Traverse, enter CANS and other information into SACWIS.
- Maintain confidentiality of case and agency information.
- Comply with agency personnel policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related human services field required.
- Clean criminal background check and valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to establish trust, rapport, and ethical boundaries with diverse populations.
- Excellent writing and documentation skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and capable of handling high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
