Job Description

&N is quickly growing its maintenance and reliability services for municipal and private utilities and is seeking a service professional to join our team. The primary responsibilities are to deliver reliability and management consulting engineering, including RCM, PM optimization, FMEA, RCFA, PdM program design, work management, maintenance metrics and targets, and other reliability service offerings. B&N Maintenance & Reliability Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Provide water/wastewater system reliability engineering support for our municipal utility clients.
  • Provide expertise in overall maintenance strategy development, work management, Preventative Maintenance (PM) development and PM optimization.
  • Assist with client/program maintenance and reliability improvement initiatives.  Provide maintenance coaching and mentoring and an understanding of best practice workflows, work types, and work order priorities.
  • Provide expertise in predictive disciplines and design predictive maintenance (PdM) programs for utilities.
  • Assist with and lead reliability consulting projects relating to maintenance strategies optimization and management, to include formal preventive maintenance optimization (PMO), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and RCM.
  • Provide training on root cause failure analysis (RCFA) to analyze equipment failures
  • Provide customers with an understanding of appropriate maintenance metrics and best practice targets for performance.  Provide analysis of reliability data.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) or similar certification, or ability to acquire in the first four months
  • 5+ years of related water/wastewater reliability engineering experience, maintenance leadership position is a plus
  • Familiarity with CMMS software
  • Familiarity with PdM technologies including infrared vibrations, ultrasound, etc.
  • Technical writing, strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required, experience with PowerBI software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance optimization (PMO), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and leading practice maintenance metrics.
