Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to join our Legal department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction law, providing legal counsel on contracts, compliance, dispute resolution, and risk management related to construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:


* Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including design-build, construction management, and general contractor agreements.
* Advise on regulatory compliance and permitting requirements.
* Manage construction-related disputes, including claims and litigation.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and procurement teams, to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.
* Manage contractor licensing requirement programs to ensure all contractors meet legal and regulatory standards.
* Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments affecting construction law.
Qualifications:


* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited university.
* Licensed to practice law in the U.S. (Ohio preferred).
* 6-8 years of experience in construction law, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
